The "Mommy" Role

How To Throw a New Year’s Eve Party- Toddler Style!

“When kids hit one year old, it’s like hanging out with a miniature drunk. You have to hold onto them. They bump into things. They laugh and cry. They urinate. They vomit.” -Johnny Depp

When you consider the endless amount of energy that toddlers have, it’s truly a shame that they don’t get to enjoy all of the New Year’s Eve festivities.  HOGWASH I say!  Why not bring the party to them?  With a just a minor adjustment to your clock, you and your baby can ring in the New Year….TODDLER STYLE!!!

Mohawk Tay’s “down time”, or late afternoon nap, is usually around 4:30.  So, at 3:30, we moved our clocks forward to 10:59 pm so we could get the party rocking!!!!

We invited over a few friends…

party tableHors d'oeuvresLet the party begin…

IMG_1301IMG_1311IMG_1297Hors d’oeuvres consisted of baked chicken bites, baked sweet potato fries sprinkled with McCormick Pumpkin Pie Spice, (Because we’re fancy like that! 😀  )  OR, you can just use cinnamon, nutmeg and tiny pinch of ginger, steamed broccoli and chocolate chip cookies (under strict supervision of mom and dad).  Burger provided by Mohawk Tay’s Dora fiesta kitchen (what’s a toddler party without  a little imagination, right?)

IMG_1307We opted for sparkling grape juice and apple cider (my personal favorite).  As you can see, these contain NO ALCOHOL.  You can also squeeze a little lemon into sparkling water if you prefer not to give your child juice to toast with.

Until next time,

  1. SO ADORABLE!! I loved the sippy cups in the background of the food table picture! Too cute! 🙂 Stopping by from SITS.

  2. What great ideas! Your little one is to adorable! What a fun age 🙂 Great pictures – there is so much joy and love! Stopping by from SITS! Have a great day!

  3. Regarding Karina, she is wearing her Uggs once more after being fitted with
custom padding to support her arches. For the stature,
I like the shorter beneath the guidance of jeans. It is far easier, especial
the pace of life is a lot more quickly.

  4. Raw organic Argan oil helps replenish your skin and makes you look younger and
rejuvenated almost instantly. You may design your own personal gift
pack from a number of different moisturizing and fragrant oils, including the beautiful Argan oil that keeps your
skin moist and supple even under the driest sun and wind,
or perhaps calendula if her skin is more sensitive. When oil is pressed by hand,
it is mixed with local, non-purified water.
